Chiaroscuro - Scented Candle
Chiaroscuro, literally translated as “light-dark” from Italian, is usually heard in reference to a painting style using bold contrasts of tone. However, the term seems applicable in describing this scent. There is the brightness of bergamot and bay leaf juxtaposed against the depth of cedar, musk black tea and vetiver. Those elements are wrapped up in notes of dry hay and fresh tobacco notes. Our Chiaroscuro candle is complex and enigmatic.
Our candles use premium phthalate-free fragrance oils, a combination of coconut and apricot waxes and a clean-burning cotton core wick.
We offer candles in a small 3.5 ounce jar (good for smaller spaces) and a medium 7 ounce jar (perfect for moderately-sized rooms.)

Candle Care and Instructions
When lighting your candle for the first time, please burn until you have a full melt pool (entire surface should be liquefied.) This prevents “tunneling” and results in a longer-lasting candle. To maintain a clean, even burn, trim wick to 1/4 inch before each use. Never leave a burning candle unattended or within reach of small children, pets, flammable items or drafts. Avoid burning in excess of 4-5 hours. Discontinue use when you have 1/2 inch of wax remaining. Allow candle to cool before handling jar.
